Abstract
The replicon DNA includes a CMV promoter sequence that functions in vertebrate cells, a non-structural region containing nobecovirus non-structural protein genes 1a and 1b located on the 3′ side of the CMV promoter sequence, and a nobecovirus N gene located on the 3′ side of the non-structural region.
Claims15
A replicon DNA, comprising:
- a promoter sequence that functions in a vertebrate cell;
- a non-structural region comprising nobecovirus non-structural protein genes 1a and 1b located on the 3′ side of the promoter sequence;
- and
- a nobecovirus N gene located on the 3′ side of the non-structural region.

A method for treating, ameliorating, or preventing a disease caused by betacoronavirus proliferation, comprising administering, to a subject, a Bcl-xL expression inhibitor or a Bcl-xL inhibitor.
A method for treating, ameliorating, or preventing a disease caused by betacoronavirus proliferation, comprising administering, to a subject, a compound selected from the group consisting of ABT-737, A-1155463, gambogic acid, A-1331852, WEHI-539 and a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof.
A method for treating, ameliorating, or preventing a disease caused by infection with a pan-betacoronavirus, comprising administering, to a subject, a Bcl-xL expression inhibitor or a Bcl-xL inhibitor.
A method for treating, ameliorating, or preventing a disease caused by viral proliferation, comprising administering, to a subject, a Bcl-xL expression inhibitor or a Bcl-xL inhibitor.
A method for treating, ameliorating, or preventing a disease caused by hepatitis C virus proliferation, comprising administering, to a subject, a Bcl-xL expression inhibitor or a Bcl-xL inhibitor.
A screening method for a therapeutic agent for a viral infectious disease, comprising:
- measuring the Bcl-xL expression inhibitory activity or the Bcl-xL inhibitory activity of a test substance;
- and
- selecting the test substance having the Bcl-xL expression inhibitory activity or the Bcl-xL inhibitory activity as a proliferation inhibitor for two or more types of betacoronaviruses selected from the group consisting of Sarbecovirus, Merbecovirus, Nobecovirus, and Embecovirus, a pan-betacoronavirus inhibitor, a viral proliferation inhibitor, or a hepatitis C virus proliferation inhibitor.
