Abstract

The spindle includes an elongated body extending according to an axial direction and having a distal end, a proximal end, and a cylindrical surface between the distal end and the proximal end. Along the cylindrical surface, between the proximal end and the distal end of the elongated body, at least one expandable member is provided. The spindle further includes an enlargement coaxial to the elongated body and positioned between the expandable member and the proximal end of the elongated body, integral with an ejector movable along the elongated body of the spindle. The enlargement has a truncated cone surface with a smaller base facing towards the distal end and a larger base facing towards the proximal end of the elongated body.

Dependent claims

A spindle for engaging tubular winding cores for reels of web material, wherein the spindle comprises:

an elongated body extending according to an axial direction and having a distal end, a proximal end, and a cylindrical surface between the distal end and the proximal end;
and
at least one expandable member along the cylindrical surface, between the proximal end and the distal end of the elongated body;
an ejector coaxial to the elongated body, axially movable along the elongated body between an inoperative position adjacent to the proximal end, and an ejection position more advanced towards the distal end;
wherein the ejector comprises an enlargement coaxial to the elongated body, the enlargement projecting towards the distal end of the elongated body;
and wherein the enlargement has a maximum diameter greater than a diameter of the elongated body.
