Abstract

A cushioning element and a cushioning structure are disclosed. The cushioning element includes a top layer, a bottom layer, an intermediate layer, a first cushioning unit, and a second cushioning unit. The bottom layer and the top layer are arranged opposite to each other with the intermediate layer disposed therebetween. The first cushioning unit is positioned between the top layer and the intermediate layer, and the second cushioning unit is positioned between the intermediate layer and the bottom layer. A first distance between the top layer and the intermediate layer differs from a second distance between the bottom layer and the intermediate layer. The cushioning structure is formed by stacking two cushioning elements to define a box body having an opening configured to receive an electronic device. Cushioning units with different wave sizes and densities are combined to form a composite cushioning structure that enhances shock absorption performance.

A cushioning element, comprising:

a top layer;
a bottom layer disposed opposite to the top layer;
an intermediate layer positioned between the top layer and the bottom layer;
a first cushioning unit disposed between the top layer and the intermediate layer;
and
a second cushioning unit disposed between the intermediate layer and the bottom layer, wherein a first spacing between the top layer and the intermediate layer is different from a second spacing between the bottom layer and the intermediate layer.

a first cushioning element having a first top layer, a first bottom layer, a first intermediate layer, a first cushioning unit, and a second cushioning unit, the first bottom layer being disposed opposite to the first top layer, the first intermediate layer being positioned between the first top layer and the first bottom layer, the first cushioning unit being disposed between the first top layer and the first intermediate layer, and the second cushioning unit being disposed between the first intermediate layer and the first bottom layer, wherein a first spacing between the first top layer and the first intermediate layer is different from a second spacing between the first bottom layer and the first intermediate layer;
