Compact bag filling machine and method of use

A method of assembling a bag filling machine, comprising:

• lifting a base of a frame of the bag filling machine, the frame supporting:
• a hopper configured to receive a material;
• a feed assembly including a fill assembly and an auger;
• a bagging assembly;
• and
• a controller configured to control a speed and a runtime of the auger to dispense a predetermined quantity of the material;
• securing a plurality of legs to the base of the frame;
• and
• lowering the base until the plurality of legs contact ground.

A method of operating a bag filling machine, comprising:

• receiving a material in a hopper;
• placing a bag around a spout of a fill assembly;
• sensing placement of the bag with one or more sensors;
• activating, in response to sensing the placement of the bag, an auger of a feed assembly to transport the material from the hopper to the fill assembly;
• and
• controlling, with a controller, a speed and a runtime of the auger to dispense a predetermined quantity of the material into the bag.
