Abstract
A power-assisted drive assembly comprises a drive gear rotatably supported and defining a spindle axis, and a sprocket assembly coupled to the drive gear. The sprocket assembly comprises a sprocket body and a chainring releasably coupled with the sprocket body through a thread engagement. The chainring comprises an annular extension protruding a width in an axial direction, wherein the annular extension is provided with threads on an inner side. The sprocket body comprises a corresponding annular extension having threads on an outer side, wherein the thread engagement between the annular extensions couples the chainring to the sprocket body.
Claims20
A power-assisted drive assembly comprising:
- a drive gear rotatably supported and defining a spindle axis;
- and
- a sprocket assembly coupled to the drive gear, the sprocket assembly comprising:
- a sprocket body, and
- a chainring releasably coupled with the sprocket body through a thread engagement;
- wherein the chainring comprises an annular extension protruding a width in an axial direction, the annular extension is provided with threads on an inner side;
- wherein the sprocket body comprises a corresponding annular extension having threads on an outer side;
- and
- wherein the thread engagement between the annular extensions couples the chainring to the sprocket body.
A power-assisted drive assembly comprising:
- a drive gear rotatably supported and defining a spindle axis;
- and
- a sprocket assembly coupled to the drive gear, the sprocket assembly comprising
- a sprocket body having an outer flange portion;
- a chainring supported by the outer flange portion;
- a spline engagement arrangement provided between the sprocket body and the chainring to restrict relative rotation between the sprocket body and the chainring;
- and
- a retaining member coupled with the sprocket body through a thread engagement;
- wherein the retaining member, upon engagement and being tightened to the sprocket body, acts against the chainring in an axial direction towards the outer flange portion, thereby securing the chainring on the sprocket body.
A power-assisted drive assembly comprising:
- a drive gear rotatably supported and defining a spindle axis, the drive gear comprising
- an annular protruding edge;
- a sprocket assembly comprising a sprocket body and a chainring attached to the sprocket body, wherein the sprocket body includes a center opening releasably coupled to the annular protruding edge of the drive gear through a spline connection;
- and
- a locking member detachably coupled to the drive gear to act against the sprocket body,
- wherein the locking member restricts axial movement of the sprocket body with respect to the drive gear to maintain the spline connection between the sprocket assembly and the drive gear.
