Abstract
Disclosed herein a data scheduling method and vehicle using same. The method includes: asynchronously performing parallel processing on a plurality of sensor data detected a surrounding environment of a vehicle by a first processor for preprocessing, asynchronously performing parallel processing on the plurality of preprocessed sensor data by a second processor for object recognition; and synchronously processing perception data output from the second processor.
Claims20
A method performed by a vehicle, the method comprising:
- obtaining, by a plurality of sensors of the vehicle, sensor data associated with a surrounding environment of the vehicle;
- asynchronously performing parallel preprocessing on pieces of the sensor data;
- asynchronously performing parallel object-recognition processing on the preprocessed pieces of the sensor data to generate perception data;
- synchronously processing the perception data;
- outputting a signal associated with the synchronously processed perception data;
- and
- controlling, based on the signal, autonomous driving of the vehicle.

A vehicle comprising:
- a plurality of sensors configured to obtain sensor data associated with a surrounding environment of the vehicle;
- and
- a memory storing at least one instruction that, when executed by at least one processor, is configured to cause the vehicle to:
- asynchronously perform, using a first processor of the vehicle, parallel preprocessing on pieces of the sensor data,
- asynchronously perform, using a second processor of the vehicle, parallel object-recognition processing on the preprocessed pieces of the sensor data to generate perception data,
- synchronously process the perception data,
- output a signal associated with the synchronously processed perception data, and
- control, based on the signal, autonomous driving of the vehicle.
5 more elements
A vehicle comprising:
- a plurality of sensors configured to obtain sensor data associated with a surrounding environment of the vehicle;
- and
- a controller circuitry configured to cause the vehicle to:
- estimate, based on the sensor data, a predicted driving path of the vehicle,
- select, based on the estimated driving path, pieces of the sensor data,
- schedule the selected pieces of the sensor data for earlier processing than remaining pieces of the sensor data,
- process the selected pieces of the sensor data in parallel when processing of different pieces of the sensor data does not depend on one another,
- output a signal indicating the processed pieces of the sensor data, and
- control, based on the signal, autonomous driving of the vehicle.
