Method for Operating a Drive System of a Work Machine

Abstract

A method for operating a drive system of a work machine is disclosed. The work machine includes a combustion engine, in particular a diesel engine, an electric generator, an electric DC link and a plurality of consumers with an electric drive. The combustion engine is coupled to the electric generator to drive it. The electric generator is connected via the DC link to the electric drives of the consumers to supply them with electric energy. The combustion engine is regulated by a speed control corresponding to a setpoint speed. A total power of the combustion engine available in the DC link is determined. A respective consumer power is assigned to each consumer of the plurality of consumers, so that the sum of the consumer powers is equal to the available total power. The plurality of consumers includes at least one first consumer. For each consumer of the at least one first consumer, an adjustment value is determined from a control difference between an actual speed of the combustion engine and the setpoint speed and an actuating value of the electric drive is determined from the consumer power assigned to the respective first consumer and the adjustment value.
