A driveline assembly for a work vehicle includes a casing configured to couple thereto and defining an internal cavity containing cooling fluid, and a driveshaft at least partially disposed in the internal cavity and rotatable about a drive axis with respect to the casing. A friction pack is contained within the internal cavity and is arranged concentrically about the drive axis and includes a plurality of support plates alternately interleaved with a plurality of friction discs. The plurality of support plates have smooth opposite faces mounted for corotation with the driveshaft relative to the plurality of friction discs. The cooling fluid is limited to a maximum fill level within the internal cavity of the casing that is below the drive axis of the driveshaft such that a portion but not all of the bearing is submerged in the cooling fluid.
