Abstract

A device for sealing an opening of a tank, and a tank including an interface configured to receive the device, are provided. The device includes a housing, a seal configured to seal the opening via the interface, a seal carrier configured to receive the seal and movable axially relative to the housing, and a spring arranged between the housing and the seal carrier to urge the seal against the interface. A pressure ring is configured such that, when the housing rotates relative to the pressure ring, the housing moves axially relative to the seal carrier to vary the spring force applied to the seal. In some embodiments, the pressure ring engages a hooked portion of the interface so that relative rotation between the housing and the pressure ring produces axial movement while maintaining sealing engagement.
