Swing away hitch adapter

Abstract

The present disclosure is directed to a hitch adapter. In some embodiments, the hitch adapter includes a first arm extending parallel relative to a first plane in a closed configuration and a second arm pivotably coupled to the first arm. In some embodiments, the hitch adapter includes a receiver disposed at an end of the second arm and a stinger coupled to and extending orthogonally from the first arm, extending orthogonally relative to the first plane, and configured to couple to a vehicle hitch receiver. In some embodiments, a proximal end of the stinger is configured to engage the vehicle hitch receiver. In some embodiments, the first arm and the second arm form an acute angle in the first plane in the closed configuration. In some embodiments, a length of the first arm is approximately the same as a length of the second arm.
