Abstract
A paint container system can include a paint container base portion and a lid portion. The lid can include a rim that can detachably secures to the container, a pull-tab, and at least one flexibly sealable aperture that can receive/secure a paint implement. The container can include a rim for receiving the lid, an internal cavity for holding paint, and a magnet at the rear for securing a paint brush within the cavity.

A lid for a paint pail adapted to engage with a paint pail to seal the contents of the paint pail, the lid comprising:
- a rim adapted to engage with the rim of the paint pail;
- and
- at least one self-sealing aperture adapted to allow a paint implement to extend through the lid while the lid seals the paint pail.
