A liquid discharge head substrate is provided. The liquid discharge head substrate includes: an element array including a plurality of liquid discharge elements arranged in a first direction; a heat generating portion arranged along the element array; and a driver configured to drive the heat generating portion. The heat generating portion comprises a first connecting portion located at one end portion in the first direction and connected to a first potential, a second connecting portion located at the other end portion in the first direction and connected to the first potential, and a third connecting portion located between the first connecting portion and the second connecting portion and connected to a second potential different from the first potential via the driver.
