Abstract
A tyre checking apparatus includes a checking device and a processing unit. The checking device includes a support for a finished tyre and one or more detection devices. The processing unit is configured for obtaining a graphic representation of at least one sidewall of said finished tyre, acquiring comparison data including a mould drawing, making a comparison between symbols included in said graphic representation and symbols defined by said comparison data, and generating a notification signal representative of a result of said comparison.
Claims16
A tyre checking apparatus, comprising:
- a checking device comprising:
- a support for a finished tyre that was moulded and cured in a mould;
- and
- one or more detection devices, operatively associated with said support;
- a processing unit configured for:
- obtaining, by said one or more detection devices, a graphic representation of at least one sidewall of said finished tyre;
- acquiring comparison data, comprising a mould drawing of said mould;
- making a comparison between symbols included in said graphic representation and symbols defined by said comparison data;
- and
- generating a notification signal representative of a result of said comparison;
- wherein said comparison data comprise supplementary data,
- wherein the processing unit is further configured for:
- identifying, in the mould drawing, a first indication representative of a symbol that is absent in said mould drawing, but expected on the finished tyre;
- and
- locating, in said supplementary data, text data representative of said symbol that is absent in said mould drawing, but expected on the finished tyre, corresponding to said first indication.
