Replaceable screen cartridge system for three-dimensional printers

An illumination screen cartridge for a three-dimensional (3D) printer, the illumination screen cartridge comprising:

• a cartridge body defining a cavity;
• an illumination screen module received within the cavity, the illumination screen module comprising an illumination screen configured to emit resin-curing light from an illuminating surface of the illumination screen cartridge;
• and
• an electrical connector supported by the cartridge body and electrically coupled to the illumination screen module, the electrical connector positioned to mate with a corresponding electrical connector of the 3D printer upon insertion of the illumination screen cartridge into a cradle of the 3D printer.

A screen cartridge system for a three-dimensional (3D) printer, the 3D printer including a resin tank with a first side for receiving resin-curing light, the screen cartridge system comprising:

• a cradle attachable to the first side of the resin tank, the cradle including a frame defining a cavity and a first electrical connector positioned within the cavity;
• and
• an illumination screen cartridge comprising an illumination screen and a second electrical connector electrically coupled to the illumination screen;
• wherein insertion of the illumination screen cartridge into the cavity seats the illumination screen cartridge within the cradle and mates the second electrical connector with the first electrical connector such that the illumination screen is electrically connected through the cradle during attachment of the illumination screen cartridge to the cradle;
• and
• wherein the illumination screen provides the resin-curing light to the first side of the resin tank.
