Abstract
A floor covering element having a rectangular circumference with two pairs of mutually opposing sides, the floor covering element comprising a first layer of a PVC intermediate having a density of 1.0 kg/dm³ or above, obtained at least by extruding a first PVC material and calibrating said first layer in thickness by means of a calibration device, wherein said first PVC material comprises polyvinylchloride or a copolymer of vinylchloride and vinyl acetate, having a Fikentscher K value in the range of 50 to 67, being free from plasticizers or comprising less than 6 phr of plasticizers, colorants and/or pigments, thermal stabilizer, lubricants and at least 30wt% of fillers.
Claims19
A floor covering element having a rectangular circumference with two pairs of mutually opposing sides, the floor covering element comprising:
- a first layer of a PVC intermediate having a density of 1.7 kg/dm³ or above, obtained at least by extruding a first PVC material and calibrating said first layer in thickness by means of a calibration device, wherein said first PVC material comprises polyvinylchloride or a copolymer of vinylchloride and vinyl acetate, having a Fikentscher K value in the range of 50 to 67, being free from plasticizers or comprising less than 6 phr of plasticizers, colorants and/or pigments, thermal stabilizer, lubricants and at least 30wt% of fillers selected from the group consisting of calcium carbonate, talc and microspheres;
- a decorative layer thermally laminated to the first layer;
- said decorative layer having a visible decorative pattern and being a printed PVC film;
- a wear layer contacting said decorative layer;
- the wear layer being embossed and comprising a transparent or translucent PVC layer comprising plasticizer and having a thickness in the range of 0.15 to 0.7 mm;
- the wear layer further comprising a lacquer layer forming a top coat of said floor covering element;
- wherein said floor covering element, at least at a first pair of said two pairs of two mutually opposing sides being provided with coupling means allowing said two floor covering elements to be coupled to each other while locking the sides in a vertical direction perpendicular to the plane of the floor covering elements, where at least one of said sides is provided with a tongue, the opposite side being provided with a groove fit for receiving said tongue.
A floor covering element having a rectangular circumference with two pairs of mutually opposing sides, the floor covering element comprising:
- a first layer of a PVC intermediate having a density of 1.0 kg/dm³ or above, obtained at least by extruding a first PVC material and calibrating said first layer in thickness by means of a calibration device, wherein said first PVC material comprises polyvinylchloride or a copolymer of vinylchloride and vinyl acetate, having a Fikentscher K value in the range of 50 to 67, being free from plasticizers or comprising less than 6 phr of plasticizers, colorants and/or pigments, thermal stabilizer, lubricants and at least 40wt% of fillers selected from the group consisting of calcium carbonate, talc and microspheres, wherein said first layer is mechanically or chemically foamed with a density reduction of at least 10% compared to the density of an equal volume of PVC which is free from hollow spaces;
- a decorative layer thermally laminated to the first layer;
- said decorative layer having a visible decorative pattern and being a printed PVC film;
