An ejector rod is movably arranged in guide opening for mechanically displacing the ophthalmic lens away from the convex bearing surface. Ejector rod comprises a detector channel extending through ejector rod and being fluidically connected with a detector opening at the distal end of ejector rod for applying a test-vacuum through detector opening to detect whether or not a said ophthalmic lens adheres to the convex bearing surface when ejector rod is arranged in the rest position.
