Abstract
An oscillating tool including a housing, a motor in the housing, a multitool shaft driven by the motor, and a clamp assembly operatively driven by the motor through the multitool shaft in an oscillating motion. The clamp assembly is configured to selectively hold a power tool accessory and a fan on the multitool shaft. The fan is operatively driven by the motor with the multi-tool shaft and the fan is a double side blade fan.

An oscillating tool, comprising:
- a housing;
- a motor in the housing;
- a fan driven by the motor;
- a headbox having a forward portion, wherein the fan is disposed between the motor and the forward portion of the headbox in an axial direction extending along a longitudinal axis of the oscillating tool;
- an output shaft driven by the motor, the output shaft configured to move in an oscillating motion, wherein at least a portion of the output shaft is in the forward portion of the headbox;
- and
- a clamp configured to hold an accessory, the clamp configured to be driven by the motor through the output shaft in an oscillating motion,
- wherein the fan is configured to push air outside of the housing in the axial direction over an upper side of the forward portion of the headbox opposite of a lower side of the forward portion of the headbox on which the clamp is disposed.

An oscillating tool, comprising:
- a housing assembly including a main body housing and a headbox housing, the headbox housing including a baffle, a rearward portion, and a forward portion, the baffle surrounding the rearward portion of the headbox housing and disposed between the main body housing and the forward portion of the headbox housing in an axial direction extending along a longitudinal axis of the oscillating tool;
- a motor disposed in the main body housing;
- a fan driven by the motor, disposed in the main body housing, and disposed between the motor and the baffle in the axial direction;
- an output shaft driven by the motor and configured to move in an oscillating motion, wherein at least a portion of the output shaft is in the forward portion of the headbox housing;
- and
- a clamp configured to hold an accessory, the clamp being driven by the motor through the output shaft in an oscillating motion,
- wherein the baffle is configured to direct airflow outside of the housing assembly in the axial direction over an upper side of the forward portion of the headbox opposite of a lower side of the forward portion of the headbox on which the clamp is disposed.

- an eccentric bearing on the multitool shaft and driven by the motor;
- at least one dampener on the eccentric bearing;
