Abstract

A process and system for cleaning, removing, dislodging, collecting and/or disposing of one or more solids from one or more tanks. The system includes one or more media tanks that are in fluid communication with one or more first tanks having one or more solids therein. Where a media from the one or more media tanks is brought into contact with the one or more solids to form a slurry that is transferred to one or more second tanks. The slurry within the one or more second tanks form a settled slurry having at least a portion of the one or more solids therein. At least a portion of silicon tetrachloride making up at least a portion of the media is removed from the one or more second tanks and the one or more solids are collected from the settled slurry formed.

Dependent claims

A system for cleaning one or more tanks, comprising:

one or more media tanks in fluid communication with at least a portion of one or more first tanks;
wherein the one or more media tanks comprise an amount of a media therein;
wherein the media comprises an amount of silicon tetrachloride (STC);
wherein at least a portion of the media is brought into contact with at least a portion of one or more solids within the one or more first tanks to form a slurry;
wherein the slurry is delivered from the one or more first tanks to one or more second tanks where a settled slurry is formed that includes an amount of the one or more solids therein;
wherein at least a portion of the STC is removed from the one or more second tanks and collected within one or more third tanks;
and
wherein at least a portion of the one or more solids are collected from the settled slurry formed within the one or more second tanks.
