Abstract
An oxygen reduction catalyst may include a catalyst metal having oxygen reduction reaction activity, and a modified layer including one or more organic nitrogen compounds and a radical quencher. The one or more organic nitrogen compounds may be selected from the group consisting of nitrogen-containing organic compounds having a triazine ring, polymers containing a portion thereof, and cations thereof. The radical quencher may include one or more structural moieties selected from the group consisting of a hydroxyphenyl triazine skeleton and a hindered amine skeleton.
Claims7
An oxygen reduction catalyst comprising:
- a catalyst metal having oxygen reduction reaction activity, and
- a modified layer comprising one or more organic nitrogen compounds and a radical quencher,
- wherein the one or more organic nitrogen compounds are selected from the group consisting of nitrogen-containing organic compounds having a triazine ring, polymers containing a portion thereof, and cations thereof, and
- wherein the radical quencher comprises one or more structural moieties selected from the group consisting of a hydroxyphenyl triazine skeleton and a hindered amine skeleton.
