Abstract
Reactor configurations for direct conversion syngas reactors are described herein. The reactors herein have a plurality of tubes in parallel arrangement within a housing, each tube containing a catalyst; and a plurality of electrical radiant heaters arranged in proximity with the plurality of tubes, wherein the electrical radiant heaters extend along a longitudinal direction of the plurality of tubes, are distributed along a longitudinal direction of the plurality of tubes, or both.
