Devices, systems, and methods to manage an emulsion in a fluid collection and transportation system

A method for emulsion management, the method comprising:

• measuring a plurality of fluid properties of a fluid flow at a plurality of locations of a fluid collection and transportation system;
• inputting the plurality of fluid properties at the plurality of locations into a fluid model of the fluid collection and transportation system, the fluid model outputting a shear exposure for the fluid collection and transportation system;
• applying a machine learning model to the shear exposure, the machine learning model trained to output an emulsion breaking rating based on input shear exposure;
• and
• based on the emulsion breaking rating, adjusting at least one operating parameter of the fluid collection and transportation system.

A system, comprising:

• a processor and memory, the memory including instructions that cause the processor to:
• apply a physics model to a fluid collection and transportation system having a fluid flow passing therethrough;
• identify a total shear exposure for the fluid collection and transportation system;
• and
• using the total shear exposure, adjust at least one operating parameter of the fluid collection and transportation system.
