Toy construction set

A toy construction set comprising a plurality of toy construction elements configured for selective assembly with each other to form a plurality of toy construction models, each toy construction model comprising a subset of the plurality of toy construction elements, and the toy construction set allowing for two or more of the toy construction models being assembled at the same time, the plurality of toy construction elements comprising:

• an interactive function element comprising a tag reader configured to transmit a first signal and a function device adapted to perform a user-perceptible function,
• a plurality of tag elements, each tag element comprising a data exchange interface configured to receive the first signal from the tag reader and in response transmit a second signal,
• a plurality of uniform connection elements, and
• a plurality of complementary construction elements, the tag reader being configured to receive the second signal, the interactive function element being configured to:
• detect one or more of the tag elements in the plurality of tag elements, and
• control behavior of the interactive function element based on the detected one or more tag elements,
• where the interactive function element being configured for being selectively connectable to each of the toy construction models at a uniform connection location,
• the toy construction set being configured to provide a plurality of uniform connection locations, wherein each toy construction model of the plurality of toy construction models comprises at least one uniform connection location and one or more of said complementary construction elements,
• each uniform connection location comprising a tag element and one or more uniform connection elements positioned in a uniform spatial configuration relative to each other as part of a toy construction model, the uniform spatial configurations and the uniform connection elements being uniform across said plurality of uniform connection locations,
• each uniform connection location being further configured to allow the interactive function element to be attached to the one or more uniform connection elements,
• each uniform connection location being further configured to allow the interactive function element to read the tag element in the uniform connection location when the interactive function element is attached to the uniform connection location, and
• wherein the uniform connection locations have a uniform shape and/or size and are configured to provide a uniform coupling interface for attachment of the interactive toy construction element.
