Workout generator

A method, comprising:

• generating a personalized workout, at least in part by:
• receiving from a user an indication of a performance goal, wherein the performance goal is a muscle growth goal;
• responsive to the indication from the user of the performance goal, determining for the user:
• a performance metric that is mapped to the performance goal, and a target temporal duration of the personalized workout;
• selecting a workout template based at least in part on the performance goal;
• and
• arranging the personalized workout based at least in part on the selected workout template, the performance metric, and the target temporal duration;
• and
• executing the personalized workout on a digital strength trainer, at least in part by controlling torque of a motor that provides resistance to a user actuator coupled to the motor, to provide the resistance to the user actuator according to the personalized workout.

A computer program product, the computer program product being embodied in a tangible non-transitory computer readable storage medium and comprising computer instructions for:

• generating a personalized workout, at least in part by:
• receiving from a user an indication of a performance goal, wherein the performance goal is a muscle growth goal;
• responsive to the indication from the user of the performance goal, determining for the user:
• a performance metric that is mapped to the performance goal, and a target temporal duration of the personalized workout;
• selecting a workout template based at least in part on the performance goal;
• and
• arranging the personalized workout based at least in part on the selected workout template, the performance metric, and the target temporal duration;
• and
• executing the personalized workout on a digital strength trainer, at least in part by controlling torque of a motor that provides resistance to a user actuator coupled to the motor, to provide the resistance to the user actuator according to the personalized workout.
