An object path evaluation system may include a data collection system including imaging sensors that automatically track ball movement along a surface. The imaging sensors are calibration to the surface to capture ball position coordinates and timestamps with respect to a path of the ball movement. A surface speed processor processes paths of a plurality of balls along the surface captured during live play to generate surface speed at the ball positions and interpolates the surface speeds to generate a continuous surface speed measurement across the surface. The surface speed measurements may be provided in stimp units. The continuous surface speeds may be incorporated into a heatmap including a visualization of the surface.
