Abstract
An elongate medical instrument has a core wire extending from a proximal region of the instrument to a distal region of the instrument, which is formed from a wire material twisted around its longitudinal axis. The instrument has a conductor element arrangement which contains at least one electrically-conducting and/or light-conducting and/or fluid-conducting conductor element, that extends from the proximal region of the instrument to the distal region of the instrument in a helical manner synchronous with the twisting of the core wire. The instrument may be used, in particular in medical endoscopy, for guide wires and snare-wire instruments.

An elongate medical instrument, comprising:
- a core wire extending from a proximal region of the instrument to a distal region of the instrument and formed from a wire material that is twisted around its longitudinal axis;
- and
- a conductor element arrangement which comprises at least one element of the group comprised of electrically conductive elements, light-guiding elements and fluid-conducting conductor elements, said at least one element extending from the proximal region of the instrument to the distal region of the instrument in a helical manner synchronously with the twisting of the core wire.
