A ventilation arrangement and a ventilation process are configured to artificially ventilate a patient. The patient is supplied with a ventilation gas mixture (Bg) including an anesthetic gas mixture (Ng). An anesthetic dosing unit (20) provides the anesthetic gas mixture (Ng). A dosing specification is captured which specifies a desired anesthetic concentration in the anesthetic gas mixture (Ng). After capturing the dosing specification, the anesthetic gas mixture (Ng) is first discharged into a sink (10). The anesthetic gas mixture (Ng) is only fed into an inspiratory fluid guide unit (3.1) and conveyed as part of the ventilation gas mixture (Bg) to a patient-side coupling unit if the actual concentration matches the desired anesthetic concentration. A controlled pneumatic switch (30) directs the anesthetic gas mixture (Ng) either to the inspiratory fluid guide unit (3.1) or to the sink (10).
A ventilation arrangement for artificially ventilating a patient, the ventilation arrangement comprising:
A ventilation process for artificially ventilating a patient, the process is performed using a ventilation arrangement comprising a patient-side coupling unit, an anesthetic dosing unit with a dosing unit outlet, a carrier gas fluid guide unit connecting a carrier gas source to the anesthetic dosing unit, a supply fluid guide unit, an inspiratory fluid guide unit, a discharge fluid guide unit, a pneumatic switch with a switch inlet, a supply outlet, and a discharge outlet, wherein the pneumatic switch is configured to be switched into a supply position, in which the switch inlet is connected to the supply outlet, and into a discharge position, in which the switch inlet is connected to the discharge outlet,
A ventilation system comprising:
