Abstract
Methods are disclosed for increasing integration of retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) in a retina of a subject. Methods are also disclosed for treating glaucoma or optic neuropathy in a subject. These methods include administering an effective amount of ocriplasmin, plasmin, or plasminogen to an eye of the subject; and transplanting an effective amount of RGCs into the eye of the subject, thereby increasing the integration of RGCs in the retina in the eye of the subject and/or treating the glaucoma or optic neuropathy in the eye of a subject.
Claims21
