Abstract
A pouch designed for administration of an active ingredient in an oral cavity is provided, the pouch containing a matrix composition including: a water-insoluble composition; granules consisting of a nicotine powder granulated with at least one sugar alcohol, which binds the nicotine powder to form the granules and functions as a water-soluble carrier for the nicotine, the nicotine powder being a nicotine base form, a nicotine salt form, or a mixture thereof; and a release controlling composition including one or more metallic stearates.

A pouch designed for administration of an active ingredient in an oral cavity, the pouch containing a matrix composition comprising:
- a water-insoluble composition;
- granules consisting of a nicotine powder granulated with at least one sugar alcohol, which binds the nicotine powder to form the granules and functions as a water-soluble carrier for the nicotine, wherein the nicotine powder is a nicotine base form, a nicotine salt form, or a mixture thereof;
- and
- a release controlling composition comprising one or more metallic stearates.
