Abstract
The present invention relates to a composition comprising at least one compound represented by Formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof or a plant extract comprising said at least one compound or said salt thereof for the use in the treatment of excess bodyweight including overweight and obesity and related metabolic and cardiovascular diseases, wherein R1 is —O—R4, R2 is —H or —OH and R3 is —O—R5, wherein R4 and R5 are independently an aliphatic C1 to C10 group, wherein the at least one compound represented by Formula (I) is administered to a subject in an amount of 200 μg/kg body weight to 8000 μg/kg body weight.

A method of treating excess body weight including overweight and obesity and related metabolic and cardiovascular diseases, comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a composition comprising at least one compound represented by Formula (I)
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof or a plant extract comprising said at least one compound or said salt thereof, wherein R1 is —O—R4, R2 is —H or —OH and R3 is —O—R5, wherein R4 and R5 are independently an aliphatic C1 to C10 group,
- wherein the at least one compound represented by Formula (I) is administered to the subject in an amount of 200 μg/kg body weight to 8000 μg/kg body weight.
A method for improving the texture of the skin of a subject, comprising administering to the subject a composition comprising at least one compound represented by Formula (I)
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof or a plant extract comprising said at least one compound or said salt thereof.
