Haircare compositions containing at least one hair fiber strengthening active ingredient, at least one humectant, at least one emollient, at least one conditioner, and water provide a hair fiber strengthening benefit when applied to hair. The haircare composition may be applied as a pre-shampoo in a haircare routine to decrease chemical and mechanical stresses on hair fibers during the shampooing process.
