Abstract
A hair treatment agent imparting the effect of moistness, slipperiness, and water repellency to damaged, hydrophilic hair is provided, the hair treatment agent being formulated with a polyglycerin hydroxystearate ester.

A hair treatment agent comprising a component (a) which is a polyglycerin hydroxystearate ester having 0.5 to 10.0 mol of hydroxystearic acid relative to 1 mol of polyglycerin in which an average degree of polymerization of glycerin is 5 or more.
