Devices and systems for thermal management and ingress protection of medical devices

A system for performing chest compressions on a patient comprising:

• an actuation assembly configured to provide chest compressions on the patient;
• a platform configured to support the patient during chest compressions, the platform enclosing the actuation assembly, wherein the platform defines an intake aperture configured for intake of cooling airflow and an exhaust aperture configured for exhaust of cooling airflow;
• and
• at least one baffle disposed at the intake aperture or the exhaust aperture, the at least one baffle comprising:
• a channel in communication with the intake aperture or the exhaust aperture;
• a groove formed around a perimeter of the at least one baffle, wherein the groove is configured to direct liquid out of the at least one baffle;
• and
• a cover disposed over the channel and configured to deflect liquid towards the groove, wherein the groove and the cover provide protection against liquid ingress into the channel while allowing airflow into the channel.
