Latching mechanism for leg accessory of surgical table includes interlocking first and second movable components, an actuating lever, an attachment pin, and a biasing member. The actuating lever is connected to the first movable component such that pivoting of the actuating lever causes rotation of the first movable component. The attachment pin removably attaches the leg accessory to the surgical table, is connected to the second movable component to rotate as the second movable component rotates, and includes an engagement surface moveable between a first position and a second position in response to rotation of the attachment pin, for respectively engaging and disengaging a retaining surface in the surgical table. The biasing member biases the attachment pin toward the first position. The actuating lever is pivotable against the bias of the biasing member to move the attachment pin and engagement surface thereof from the first position to the second position.
