Surgical table and accessories to facilitate hip arthroscopy

Abstract

Disclosed herein is a distraction system for removably mounting to a surgical table having a table portion and a table base portion so that the distraction system can be selectively used with the surgical table. The distraction system includes a mounting portion configured to be selectively connected to the table base portion for removably mounting the distraction system to the table base portion, such that the distraction system can be connected to the table base portion for use in a procedure requiring distraction and disconnected from the table base portion for a procedure in which distraction is not required; and a pair of leg support assemblies, where each leg support assembly is independently rotatably connected to the mounting portion about an associated vertically oriented axis to provide for hip adduction and abduction of a leg of a patient.
