An apparatus for turning a person on a mattress of a bed, the apparatus comprising: one or more first expandable bodies capable of providing cushioning between the top sheet and the mattress in a first portion of the mattress; and one or more second expandable bodies capable of providing cushioning between the top sheet and the mattress in a second portion of the mattress; the apparatus configured to maintain the person in a controlled location on the mattress.

An apparatus for turning a person on a mattress of a bed, the apparatus comprising:
- one or more first expandable bodies capable of providing cushioning between the top sheet and the mattress in a first portion of the mattress;
- and
- one or more second expandable bodies capable of providing cushioning between the top sheet and the mattress in a second portion of the mattress.

A kit of parts for providing an apparatus for turning a person on a mattress of a bed, the kit comprising:
- one or more first expandable bodies capable of providing cushioning between the top sheet and the mattress in a first portion of the mattress;

- one or more second expandable bodies capable of providing cushioning between the top sheet and the mattress in a second portion of the mattress.
