Connector for multiplexer optical coupling

A catheter comprising:

• a housing comprising a wall defining a ferrule opening and an alignment opening;
• a ferrule extending through the ferrule opening;
• an energy guide extending into the ferrule,
• wherein the alignment opening is configured to receive an alignment guide when the housing is coupled with a console.

A system comprising:

• a catheter including:
• a connector, the connector including a wall defining a ferrule opening and an alignment guide receiver;
• a ferrule extending through the ferrule opening;
• an energy guide extending into the ferrule;
• a console including a receptacle assembly configured to engage the connector, the receptacle assembly including a receptacle hole and an alignment guide configured to engage the alignment guide receiver to align the ferrule with the receptacle hole.

A system, comprising:

• a receptacle assembly configured to mate with a guide bundle of a catheter comprising a ferrule and an energy guide extending into the ferrule, the receptacle assembly including:
• a receptacle block having a receptacle hole, the receptacle hole configured to receive the ferrule;
• a backing plate coupled to the receptacle block, the backing plate including an alignment hole aligned with the receptacle hole;
• and
• an alignment guide configured to engage an end face of the guide bundle to align the receptacle hole with the ferrule.
