Systems and methods for continuous ergonomic risk estimation and mitigation

A system for injury reduction comprises:

• a motion capture system worn by a user comprising a plurality of motion sensors, wherein the motion capture system is configured to capture motion data associated with portions of a body of the user in response to the user performing a plurality of physical actions;
• a smart insole coupled to a shoe worn by the user, comprising at least one pressure sensor, wherein the one pressure sensor is configured to measure a plurality of pressures associated with a foot of the user in response to the user performing the plurality of physical actions;
• and
• a system coupled to the motion capture system and the smart insole, wherein the system is configured to store a biomechanical model of the user, wherein the system is configured to determine a plurality of kinematic data associated with the portions of the body of the user in response to the motion data associated with portions of the body and the biomechanical model, wherein the system is configured to determine a plurality of physical loadings associated with joints of the body of the user in response to the plurality of pressures and the plurality of kinematic data associated with the portions of the body of the user.
