Abstract
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to systems, devices, articles, and methods for cleaner toilets. A protective sheath including a web of water-impervious material, at least one recess and a slit that extends from one edge of the web of material to a central region can be installed on a hinge of a toilet to protect the hinges from damage caused by water and contaminants. Examples of a protective sheath may include a splash guard sitting proud of the superior side of the protective sheath which further protects the hinges by redirecting water and contaminants away from the hinges of a toilet.
