Shelving systems and methods

A kit of parts for a shelving system, wherein the shelving system comprises:

• a plurality of support posts, at least one of the support posts comprising an elongated body and a plurality of openings spaced along a height of the at least one support post;
• and
• one or more shelf assemblies, at least one of the one or more shelf assemblies comprising a shelf portion and a mounting portion configured to selectively support the at least one shelf assembly on the at least one support post, the mounting portion comprising:
• a corner bracket attached to the shelf portion, the corner bracket having a channel sized to slidably receive the at least one support post;
• and
• an engagement element coupled to the corner bracket and configured to be moveable between:
• an engagement state in which the engagement element engages one of the plurality of openings to support the at least one shelf assembly on the at least one support post, and
• a disengaged state in which the engagement element is disengaged from the opening to allow the at least one shelf assembly to move along the at least one support post.

A method of configuring a shelving system, comprising:

• providing a plurality of support posts, at least one of the plurality of support posts comprising an elongated body and a plurality of openings spaced along a height of the at least one support post;
• providing one or more shelf assemblies, at least one of the one or more shelf assemblies comprising:
• a shelf portion;
• and
• a mounting portion comprising:
• a corner bracket attached to the shelf portion, the corner bracket having a channel sized to slidably receive the at least one support post;
• and
• an engagement element coupled to the corner bracket and configured to be moveable between:
• an engaged state in which the engagement element engages one of the plurality of openings to support the shelf assembly on the at least one support post;
• and
• a disengaged state in which the engagement element disengages the opening to allow the shelf assembly to move along the at least one support post;
• inserting the at least one support post into the channel of the corner bracket;
• and
• securing the shelf assembly at a desired height by moving the engagement element to the engaged state, such that the engagement element engages one of the plurality of openings in the at least one support post by contacting an edge of the opening.
