Hair dryer and hair dryer operation mode selection system

A hair dryer setting selection system for a hair dryer, the hair dryer operation mode selection system comprising at least one processor communicatively coupled to at least one data storage device and operable to:

• a. receive at least one personal item of hair information from a user;
• b. select, based on the at least one personal item of hair information, at least one system selected setting of a plurality of operational settings of the hair dryer;
• and
• c. present the at least one system selected setting to the user.

A hair dryer, comprising:

• a. an air flow path through a body of the hair dryer;
• b. an air moving member in the air flow path operable to generate an air flow through the air flow path, the air moving member having a plurality of air flow settings including a high air flow setting and a low air flow setting;
• c. a heating element operable to heat the air flow, the heating element having a plurality of heat settings including an on setting and an off setting;
• d. at least one processor communicatively coupled to the air moving member, the heating element, a user input device, and at least one data storage device on which is saved a profile comprising a selected air flow setting of the plurality of air flow settings and a selected heat setting of the plurality of heat settings,
• wherein the at least one processor is operable to receive a selection of the profile via the user input device, and, in response to the selection, retrieve information from the profile and operate the air moving member at the selected air flow setting and operate the heating element at the selected heat setting.
