Abstract

A fastener tape includes: a warp-knitted tape base fabric having a side-edge portion that extends in a warp direction; and at least one core yarn inserted, as a warp thread, in the side-edge portion of the tape base fabric. The at least one core yarn is secured to the side-edge portion of the tape base fabric by at least one tightening thread. The side-edge portion includes a first wale positioned outwardly of tape relative to a center of the core yarn, and a second wale positioned inwardly of tape relative to the center of the core yarn. The tightening thread includes a predetermined tightening thread which repeats turning without formation of a loop at the first wale and forming a loop with which a ground thread of the tape base fabric is entangled at the second wale.
