A wearable garment for infants and toddlers is disclosed, comprising a body portion and a plurality of flaps configured to wrap around an abdominal region. A fastening system is disposed on the flaps and is configured to secure the flaps in an overlapping arrangement. An insulating structure is disposed within the garment and is configured to provide thermal retention. The flaps are arranged to overlap at the abdominal region to form multiple layers, creating localized thermal insulation without requiring multiple internal insulation layers and without applying circumferential compression. The garment permits unrestricted movement of a lower body and may include one or more openings to facilitate movement of the legs. The fastening system may include a plurality of fastening regions arranged to enable adjustable securement and accommodate different body sizes.
