Abstract
Aerosol provision devices comprising a heater component are disclosed. In one device, the heater component comprises a first portion having a first outer cross section and a second portion having a second outer cross section. The device further comprises a support comprising a receptacle engaged with the second portion of the heater component to hold the heater component. The receptacle has an inner cross section corresponding to the second outer cross section of the heater component to prevent rotation of the heater component relative to the support.
Claims15
An aerosol provision device, comprising:
- a heating zone configured to receive an article comprising aerosol generating material and a susceptor;
- a heater component, wherein the heater component surrounds the heating zone and has an outer cross section that is non-circular in shape;
- a support comprising a receptacle engaged with the heater component to hold the heater component, wherein the receptacle has an inner cross section defined by at least one channel formed on an inner surface of the receptacle, wherein the at least one channel interlocks with the heater component, thereby to prevent rotation of the heater component relative to the support;
- and
- an inductor coil configured to generate a varying magnetic field for causing heating of the susceptor of the article, when the article is received in the heating zone, wherein the inductor coil encircles the heating zone.
