A heater assembly (100) for an aerosol-generating system (200), the heater assembly (100) comprising: a resistive heating element (102) for vaporising a liquid aerosol-generating substrate; and a porous body (104) for conveying the liquid aerosol-generating substrate to the resistive heating element (102), the porous body (104) having a liquid absorption surface (104a) and a heating surface (104b), the resistive heating element (102) being located on the heating surface (104b) of the porous ceramic body (104), wherein the resistive heating element (102) comprises a silver palladium alloy consisting of 53 weight percent to 73 weight percent silver, 7 weight percent to 23 weight percent palladium, 1 weight percent to 7 weight percent carbon, 3 weight percent to 17 weight percent oxygen, and impurities.
