Abstract
This smoking article comprises: a flavor source that generates a flavor; a gap part that is disposed adjacent to the flavor source in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction; and an inhibition part that is positioned upstream of the flavor source and inhibits air from flowing into the gap part while introducing air from the tip of the smoking article to the flavor source.

1-15. (canceled)
A smoking article comprising:
- a flavor source configured to generate a flavor;
- a cavity disposed adjacent to the flavor source in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the smoking article;
- and
- an airflow barrier located upstream of the flavor source, the airflow barrier configured to inhibit inflow of air into the cavity while allowing air to be introduced into the flavor source from a tip of the smoking article.

A smoking article comprising:
- a flavor source configured to generate a flavor;
- a cavity disposed adjacent to the flavor source in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the smoking article;
- a tip plug located upstream of the flavor source;
- and
- an airflow barrier provided in the tip plug, the airflow barrier configured to inhibit inflow of air into the cavity while allowing air to be introduced into the flavor source from a tip of the smoking article, wherein
- the airflow barrier is formed from at least one substance selected from the group consisting of carboxymethyl cellulose, polyvinyl alcohol, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin, and modified starch.

A smoking article comprising:
- a tubular flavor source configured to generate a flavor;
- a tip plug located upstream of the flavor source;
- and
- a wrapper wrapped around the tip plug, the wrapper having openings that penetrate between a front surface and a back surface of the wrapper.
