Abstract
Disclosed herein are exemplary devices and methods for deterring animals (e.g., house pets, outdoor nuisance wildlife, etc.) from performing unwanted behavior, such as entering or approaching a designated area in an indoor or outdoor environment (e.g., countertops, doors, furniture, gardens, planters, trash areas, landscaping, etc.).
Claims30
An animal deterrent device comprising:
- a housing;
- a controller within the housing;
- an animal presence detector configured to be operable for detecting an animal entering, approaching, or being present within a designated area;
- and
- a deterrent mechanism configured to be operable for emitting a deterring stimulus in response to the animal presence detector detecting an animal entering, approaching, or being present within the designated area.
