This pants-type disposable diaper (1) for pets comprises: an absorbent body (10) that has a vertical direction, a left-right direction, and a front-rear direction that intersect one other, and that is provided with an absorbent core (12) ; an abdominal-side waist part (20) that is positioned on the front side in the front-rear direction; and a back-side waist part (30) that is positioned on the rear side in the front-rear direction, wherein the abdominal-side waist part (20) and the back-side waist part (30) are joined by a pair of side joining parts (40) on both side parts in the left-right direction, and a tail insertion part (50) in which the tail can be inserted is provided in the absorbent body (10), the pants-type disposable diaper (1) for pets being characterized in that the absorbent core (12) is disposed on both sides of the tail insertion part (50) in the left-right direction.
