Abstract
A display device including a substrate that includes a display area including first and second areas and a non-display area outside the display area, a plurality of anodes disposed in the first area, the anodes being spaced apart from each other, an intermediate layer disposed on the plurality of anodes, the intermediate layer disposed over an entirety of the display area, a cathode disposed in the first area to be opposite the plurality of anodes with the intermediate layer interposed therebetween, and a pattern definition layer disposed on the intermediate layer in the second area, the pattern definition layer being in contact with a side surface of the cathode.
Claims20
A display device comprising:
- a substrate comprising:
- a display area comprising a first area and a second area;
- and
- a non-display area outside the display area;
- a plurality of anodes disposed in the first area, the plurality of anodes being spaced apart from each other;
- an intermediate layer disposed on the plurality of anodes, the intermediate layer disposed over an entirety of the display area;
- a cathode disposed in the first area to be opposite to the plurality of anodes with the intermediate layer interposed therebetween;
- and
- a pattern definition layer disposed on the intermediate layer in the second area, the pattern definition layer being in contact with a side surface of the cathode,
- wherein:
- the intermediate layer comprises a plurality of layers;
- and
- an uppermost layer of the intermediate layer is in contact with the cathode and the pattern definition layer, the uppermost layer comprising an electron-transportable organic host and a metal dopant.
