Intra-cluster transmission power associated with a cluster of electronic shelf labels

An electronic shelf label (ESL), comprising:

• one or more memories;
• one or more transceivers;
• and
• one or more processors communicatively coupled to the one or more memories and the one or more transceivers, wherein the one or more processors, either alone or in combination, are configured to:
• receive, via the one or more transceivers, from an ESL controller, a signaling configuration associated with an intra-cluster signaling operation between ESLs of a cluster of ESLs deployed in a facility,
• wherein the cluster of ESLs corresponds to a subset of ESLs deployed in the facility,
• wherein the signaling configuration comprises a time-frequency (T-F) resource configuration, and
• wherein the signaling configuration comprises a transmission power configuration that configures intra-cluster transmission power based on distances between respective ESLs of the cluster of ESLs and a designated ESL of the cluster of ESLs;
• and
• perform an intra-cluster signaling operation in accordance with the signaling configuration.

A method performed by an electronic shelf label (ESL) controller, comprising:

• determining a first signaling configuration associated with a first intra-cluster signaling operation between ESLs of a first cluster of ESLs deployed in a facility,
• wherein the first cluster of ESLs corresponds to a subset of ESLs deployed in the facility,
• wherein the first signaling configuration comprises a time-frequency (T-F) resource configuration, and
• wherein the first signaling configuration comprises a transmission power configuration that configures intra-cluster transmission power based on distances between respective ESLs of the first cluster of ESLs and a designated ESL of the first cluster of ESLs;
• and
• transmitting the first signaling configuration to the first cluster of ESLs.
