Abstract
A method in a wireless communication device includes: detecting, at the wireless communication device, a first wireless communication channel of a base station; determining whether the first wireless communication channel satisfies a range-finding criterion; when the first wireless communication channel does not satisfy the range-finding criterion, selecting a second wireless communication channel; and performing a range-finding operation with the base station using the second wireless communication channel.
Claims16
A method in a wireless communication device, the method comprising:
- detecting, at the wireless communication device, a first wireless communication channel of a base station;
- determining whether the first wireless communication channel satisfies a range-finding criterion;
- when the first wireless communication channel does not satisfy the range-finding criterion, selecting a second wireless communication channel;
- and
- performing a range-finding operation with the base station using the second wireless communication channel.
A wireless communication device, comprising:
- a communication interface;
- and
- a controller configured to:
- detect a first wireless communication channel of a base station;
- determine whether the first wireless communication channel satisfies a range-finding criterion;
- when the first wireless communication channel does not satisfy the range-finding criterion, select a second wireless communication channel;
- and
- perform a range-finding operation with the base station using the second wireless communication channel.
